Review of 'Crown of Shadows' on 'Goodreads'

The first book in this series was a tour de force, the second was an interesting development of new and existing characters, this one seemed to be a mish mash of competing narratives, including what seemed a headlong rush to an ott confrontation. I hope some of these threads start to come back together in book 4.

Review of 'Crown of Shadows' on 'Goodreads'

On the one hand, I was not as thrilled about this one as I was about the previous two volumes, so I am hoping the series is not losing steam. On the other hand, new keys are found, and Dodge continues his scheming as he searches for the black key. This time, a new key enables him to raise an army of shadows. Overall, we are settling into the familiar setting of the mansion. The art is certainly one of the best parts of this series. I am still interested enough that I will keep reading, but I hope the plots get better.
