Of all the mystery series I've started in recent months, I think this would fall under the category of literary mystery. King is simply an astounding writer, and I can't get enough of her portrayal of Sherlock Holmes and his fiesty partner/wife, Mary Russell. This one was especially fun, as the murder of one of Russell's friends coincides with the right to vote for women. Intelligent and simply darn good writing.
