Bloodsucking Fiends is a bit of romantic dark humor, following the adventures of a recently-turned-vampire Jody. It's reminiscent of the HBO series Dead Like Me, where the main character is removed from normal life but still exists in the world, and in the process gains a new perspective.
The pros and cons of vampirism are explored with a very humorous slant, with some awkward romance thrown in for spice. It's a quick, but very enjoyable read.
