Such a disappointment compared to the first book. When all the main characters have some sort of violent trauma in their past and we have to hear about it it becomes a bit too much. The book ends on cliffhangers on both storylines. The technology becomes a bit too much magic compared to the first book (also feels inconsistent that it gains new capabilities compared to the first book). Eh.
