In the Kin, an ancient foe of the Time Lords, Neil Gaiman has created a worthy and intriguing adversary. The story reads just like an episode of Doctor Who, with spot-on characterisation and dialogue, and nice little nods to Doctor Who continuity scattered throughout. Recommended.
