The Umbrella Academy

What at first seems like random, disconnected story arcs of different pairs of the Umbrella team off doing separate quests comes together brilliantly for an epic showdown. Albeit with a bit of a deus ex machina.

I'm seriously loving how Gerard Way's artistic themes cross over his different projects...which is to say, yes I caught that "Baby You're A Haunted House" reference and it was perfect!!

Artwork by Gabriel Ba was stunning as usual.

The art is dazzling and the plot embraces even more of its bonkers nature, taking The Umbrella Academy in its own unique direction away from being a derivative and helping it stand on its own powerful legs.
