Persuasion tells the love story of Anne Elliot and Captain Frederick Wentworth, whose sister rents Miss Elliot's father's house, after the Napoleonic Wars come to an end. The story is set in 1814. The book itself is Jane Austen's last published book, published posthumously in December of 1818.

This audiobook was fantastic. Juliet Stevenson really brought the story to life and made me appreciate Austen in a way I never have before. I may have to see what else she's narrated.
I really liked this story. Anne may be my favorite Austen heroine. I'm rather amazed that she was as normal as she was considering her family... who all really should have been shoved into a puddle for the way they behaved.
I cheered for her throughout the book.
In many ways, this book reminded me of The Blue Castle by LM Montgomery.
I love the relationship between Captain Wentworth and Ann Elliot. I felt weak in the knees when she read his letter. This is the ultimate love story.
