While the agreements discussed in this short self-help book were helpful, I disagreed with one of the main points that Ruiz brought forth. Ruiz states (rather than suggests) that our whole life is a dream, both awake and asleep. Based on this book, I am supposed to believe that reality is a dream much like the dreams I have while I am asleep. The four agreements that were made are common sense: be impeccable with your word, don't take things personally, don't make assumptions, and always do your best. These are valid points, and I can see how incorporating each of these in your daily life would make you happier, but I feel that the execution and reasonings he gave were flawed and had little to no direction behind them.
