I absolutely loved this book! The relationships between the characters are so lovely, and so well developed. Furthermore, the scenery is splendid; the city comes to live, and the interaction between the protagonist and the city is amazing ! The relationship between Jesper, and Wylan is so sweet, but also Nina and Matthias were adorable together ❤️ I am very happy to have this book in my bookshelf

There were a lot of moments in which I was just annoyed with this book. Kaz drove me crazy thinking he was beyond failure while getting his friends in trouble. Really, I wanted to throw this book out of my window. Still I really loved other parts of the story. It was a roller coaster ride in this aspect. Every part I loved was followed by one that made me furious... I was so frustrated at times that I really thought about not finishing the last 200 pages. But I am really glad I did eventually because the ending was plain amazing. Nonetheless, I don't understand all the praise this series is getting. Yes, it is fun (at times) but average at best. I also don't see why people seem to fuzz over the character development as it was also rather moderate.
All in all an enjoyable duology …
