I'm a touch disappointed because I've liked a lot of James Patterson's stuff before, but I knew I couldn't go any further because it was just not an interesting setup for a private investigation series for me. I know he doesn't do "realism", but the utter perfection in the setup, that this private investigation firm has better equipment and resources than even the cops in CSI and Law & Order just felt like it was pulling my leg too far.

I was also annoyed with how many cases and threads for plot were flying around in the start, and I just couldn't care much about what was going on--I was spending too much time trying to keep track of all these characters!

Anyhoo--not my cup of tea, but could be yours.

This is unimpressive. I was very surprised that [a:James Patterson|3780|James Patterson|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1468347205p2/3780.jpg] is associated with it.
