I have been discovering the world beyond The Classics, mostly modern SF&F. I do love (some) older romances and novels, and have been making an effort to read more non-fiction and books in my native language 😄

Sissas reviewed Murder on the Orient Express by Agatha Christie
@pelagikat I really liked the ending, but will be honest - my eyes skipped over the long descriptions of where thrust should be created so that gravity was created like this and that 😆 I found these details fun at first but eventually they were just too many!

The sciencest science fiction
3 stars
This wasn't really my thing. The detailed descriptions of scientific processes were a little exhausting after a certain point, the main character is kind of annoying and the part of the plot that takes place on earth is.. Not great. However I loved the space romp side of it, and found the ending quite sweet 😄
Sissas started reading Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir
I'm halfway through this book and all the explanations of how the protagonist Solves Things With Science are getting a little too annoying. It's just very, A Kind Of Guy. I am also absolutely fed up with every single chapter that takes place on earth, but the ones in space are cool enough to keep me going!
