I love to read—always have. No matter where I go, my Kindle is by my side. 📖 I love to write—always have. If only time would permit me to get more done. ✍️

A cute gay romance/drama

4 stars

I have known the comics for a while now and actually enjoyed reading them, so I decided to also read the source material (I did not like the movie …). I was surprised how different the book was, to what I had remembered. I did enjoy it and it was well written and it was nice to read more than just a YA novel, but read about someone slightly older than that as well. Some of the main character’s decisions I found very odd and a bit stupid, maybe even unrealistic—but then there is lots of different brains out there. I will definitely continue the book series to see if things fit will together.

Not for me

2 stars

I’ve had to stop reading this book halfway through. I though I could make it but it just wasn’t for me. Characters behaviour is erratic and the dialogue are so all over the place. It feels like the writing stopped and was started by a different person mid dialogue.

What a lovely origins story

4 stars

I really enjoyed this origins story. Well done and nice to read about young versions of all the characters. What a sad story in the present. I had read the book that follows this and finally got an explanation of what happened. I wish it wasn’t so.

Leigh Bardugo: Rule of Wolves (Paperback) 4 stars

Great ending for this duology

4 stars

What a lovely book and brilliant end to the duology. Obviously would like to read more stories set in this universe, but I think it was a very fair ending. Some parts of the book felt rushed—whereas parts of the first one felt very slow—but overall I very much enjoyed it. Some nice twists which could have easily been predicted but all in all very entertaining.

Brilliantly borrowed stories

4 stars

Another very funny books in the witches series. So many brilliantly interwoven stories and borrowed ideas and themes. I had to laugh out loud a few times and will definitely continue my journey into the Discworld universe!

I really enjoyed this book series

4 stars

What a great book. I was a bit reserved after having watched the tv show and wasn’t sure if I should try the book series. I am glad that I did. Much better than the show—somehow I am more drawn into the world than I was when just watching the screen. I will definitely continue with this series. The mixture of magic, fantasy and medieval-like lands is exactly what I like. Really excited to see what the next book is about!

Hercule has done it again

4 stars

I must have read this one ages ago, because I had my own theories and actually found out who the real murderer was as well. As always, an enjoyable Poirot novel. It felt somehow shorter than expected.

Quite a nice story about time loops

4 stars

I quite enjoyed this book. It was a different approach to time loops—at least in my limited experience of reading about them in fiction. Rather a cute story, even though it is quite unbelievable that someone would be stuck in a loop for this long and not figure out how to escape. I was slightly disappointed that there was no extra chapter with a sneak peek of the future but I guess I might have complained if that was not to my liking, so this is probably a good ending.
