The growth of the characters we're experiencing in this second book is phenomenal. I enjoyed it as much as Six of Crows if not a bit more, since it's the culmination of all the little plot points sprinkled throughout the first installment. The Glory or Grave duology is a wonderful addition to the GrishaVerse!

This book shows us that nothing can ever be perfect. Perfect health, no sadness whatsoever and technological advances might sound like a good foundation for a flawless society. But there's no worth to it, if the individual right of self-determination is lost in the process.

This is such a wonderfully ironic story that takes any concepts of our "real" world for a ride. I could hardly put the book down, so enjoyable was the short journey.

Damn, I am blown away!

I was a little afraid at first, but The Eye of the World has such accessible writing, everyone can (and should) enjoy it at some point.

The worldbuilding is sublime, the characters are flawed but great and the plot was slow at first but picked up fairly quickly.
The mix of breathtakingly-fast action sequences, clever put in lore bits and pieces and the more lighthearted passages were super enjoyable.

And this was just the beginning...

Such a quick read! I certainly like the premise, but I expected there to be a kind of twist to this whole ordeal. In the end it was too on the nose and...predictable, for my liking.

"It's like being wrapped up in a big gay blanket.' it says on the cover of my copy and I couldn't agree more. This is such a wonderful read. I've been on an emotional rollercoaster this past 400 pages!

Beautiful writing, pointless plot up until 3/4 of the book. Ending is fine.
