This book is a phenomenal work. It's unlike anything I've ever read: none of the characters are heroes. They all have profound character flaws and make huge mistakes.
The combination of fantasy and science fiction aspects is mindblowing.
CNs for torture, rape mention, sexual assault (1 scene), murder, mass murder.
It's probably not a bad book, but just really not my thing.
I expected way less gore and body horror from how the book was presented to me, but that's hardly the author's fault.
It's a rather long book that covers the events of just a few days in painstaking detail. Again, not a bad thing but just not the kind of thing I enjoy.
CNs: violence, death, murder, gore, body horror
