The saga of the Walking Dead and the survivors continues. Just when things seem to be settling down for Grimes and the others, Kirkman shows us that no one is safe. This volume includes the story arc of Woodbury and the Governor. For some readers, I do give warning there are some torture scenes (one of them definitely deserved retribution) that may shake the comfort level. Personally, the scenes worked for me (then again, I am used to reading some gruesome stuff overall). If nothing else, what this series shows is that people, when times get tough, often revert to their worst nature. This volume may not do much to reaffirm your faith in humanity. Having said that, there are also moments of redemption in the tale as well. And in the end, Kirkman is making a very compelling story that just keeps going on and on. You cannot help …
