I really loved this one! Ever since The Vile Village, the next book becomes my favorite. This time, this is the one. The themes explored in this book are super important and approachable to children, from tolerance, disability and acceptance to animal cruelty.
The previous book, The Hostile Hospital, is gloomier than this one, but The Carnivorous Carnival is when the kids really outsmart Count Olaf (for most of the book, at least).
The children are growing up, the themes are maturing just enough, and the main story is finally happening.
