It was fine. I wanted to read it and I have but I'll stick with the movie the next time I get an urge to visit Midian and the Nightbreed.
I've never been much of a fan of clive barker, he has some interesting ideas but his writing seems to lack that interesting feature from the plot. This book is no exception. I'm sure you are supposed to be rooting for Boone but he was such a dull character that I was hoping he was going to be killed off pretty quickly. This was made into a movie that was not too bad. An average novel by Mr Barker.
