🥒 reviewed Rant: An Oral Biography of Buster Casey by Chuck Palahniuk
Palahniuk's Greatest Assets Are Centre-Stage While his Flaws Take a Backseat
5 stars
By far my favourite Palahniuk! It's so perfectly suited to its format, the voices feel incredibly real and while there is some rambling info-dumping, it's not nearly as tedious as it is in some of his other works. Incredibly bizarre, unexpected, gross, crass, lower-class, funny, thrilling, and intriguing. Some might not acclimate as easily to his brand of weirdness (be forewarned!) but I think this one was cooked to perfection.
