It actually took me three months to finish this book. I started Assassin's Fate right about the time I got an offer letter for a new job, so most of my time was planning a move. Then there was unpacking, starting a new job and waiting for my mind to settle enough to have enough attention to read longer than five minutes at a time. For the longest time, I didn't think I could actually go through with it.
But once I started back up at around the 55% mark, I found it hard to abandon Fitz and others. I can't really say much of anything without spoiling. For the most part, the book is full of Hobb's overly descriptive narrative with a slow pace.
And when it came to the finale? Well, I'll leave that up to you to decide.
