Truly exceptional. As a reflection on the experiences of those coming to the UK in the post-war period up to the 80s, it was very reflective of reality. There are parts which feel deliberately provocative - and, I suppose, that’s the point - and Jibreel’s reflection at the end is oddly prescient given the following fatwa. Contemplates censorship in its provocation. Very, very deserving of the accolades it won.
