Level Up started reading Buenos presagios by Neil Gaiman

I don't think I have much to add so far other than the fact that it feels so much easier to read since I stepped away and focused on other things.
Reflexive tense forms make more sense to me now, reflexive forms are used a lot in this book. I hope you're enjoying the dry language learner's perspective on a romance novel so far.
I've noticed that the chapters without NSFW bits are much shorter than the chapters with NSFW bits. As mundane as it sounds, I've enjoyed the "vanilla" chapters too because as I've probably said before, it uses every day language.
I still think the boss guy is a bit weird though.
Level Up wants to read El bestiario de Axlin by Laura Gallego García (Guardianes de la Ciudadela, #1)
Recommended to me by @maco@wandering.shop and Ethan / Toppsdown (CEO of Refold).
I have the book, I'm going to get a copy of the audiobook. I feel like I'm finally ready and I'm excited!

SynACK reviewed Red Team Blues by Cory Doctorow (Martin Hench, #1)
Well worth your time!
5 stars
I finished @pluralistic’s #RedTeamBlues this evening, and I would highly - highly - recommend it! It’s a short read, just a tad over 200 pages but it’s quite engrossing. I probably could have finished it last night, but I forced myself to sleep instead.
I really like Doctorow’s writing style, and I always learn some new words (and not just technological ones) when I read his books. One of my favorite hallmarks of his fiction is the use of what I would term “non-standard” protagonists - in this case a 67-year-old confirmed bachelor facing retirement. Definitely not someone I would have expected to be enmeshed with a cast of Very Ruthless People ™️ and crypto-bros. That alone makes the stories so much more relatable and entertaining to me and easier to identify with. And as always, the more technical elements of the plot are thoroughly well-researched and expertly woven together …

If you’re looking for a short(ish) techno-thriller to read with a page-turning plot, this book should be right up your alley. That ain’t no lie, cutie pie.

So I'm starting to pick up on some sentence patterns the author likes to use a lot. This is making it a little bit easier to read.
So far, some of the story is sort of riddiculous and I'm not a fan of Mr.Zimmerman. He's so over the top going from zero to 100 in no time but let's go with it. I don't have much to say about the main character other than the fact that I can relate to prefering coca-cola over wine.
I don't know how there are so many of these books but it is helping me comprehend spanish in a variety of situations, formal, informal and of course NSFW settings without being boring...for now. In this respect I suppose it's quite flexble as a resource..

Level Up started reading American Gods by Neil Gaiman
So this was the book I decided upon.
I enjoyed his work with Terry Pratchett and I enjoyed the series on Amazon Prime so I bet the book will be even better.
I'm going to read the english and #spanish version at the same time... just so I don't get completely lost when trying to tackle it in Spanish. 😅
I'm going to be logging my progress here as I go along.

Wow... so, if you're learning a language and things aimed at your level are boring find something else. I learned a lot just in the first chapter.
I haven't gone over reflexive verbs much yet but there are plenty here.
