Logicomix: An Epic Search for Truth is a graphic novel about the foundational quest in mathematics, written by Apostolos Doxiadis, author of Uncle Petros and Goldbach's Conjecture, and at the time Berkeley's theoretical computer scientist Christos Papadimitriou. Character design and artwork are by Alecos Papadatos and color is by Annie Di Donna. The book was originally written in English, and was translated into Greek by author Apostolos Doxiadis for the release in Greece, which preceded the UK and U.S. releases.

Review of 'Logicomix' on 'GoodReads'

Review of 'Logicomix' on 'Goodreads'

Quite the heavy read for a comic book but a very light one for a book about the intersecting history of logic, modern mathematics and philosophy. This biography of "Bertie" Russell should not be attempted unless one is somehow attuned to these nerdy pastimes. I think I must now go back and read up on a few philosophers. I like that quote on page 255: "I have totally solved all the problems of philosophy!" and Bertie thinks: "Good old Wittgenstein. Modesty was never his strong point."

Recommended for historians, philosophers, math and logic lovers - in short thinkers ;)

Thanks for giving me this for my birthday!
