I liked the ideas and the writing. It just felt a little short. The character development is non existent. I will nevertheless give the next part a chance.
Sorry, have to change this. I was only reading a part of the novel. With the whole novel it was much better.
I really enjoyed this introduction to a new universe, one that is mainly sci-fi, but with magic used as an integral part of the universe.
I wasn't really having that high hopes that I would enjoy it, but it was really good :) nicely paced and well put together universe, with some good characters :)
Bubblegum science-fiction with magic. Everyone who reads complicated and convoluted writing needs to have something easier to digest at times and this really fit the bill for me lately. It feels episodic, nothing dives too deep, but you get a nice story, a smidge of YA even though I think the main character isn't YA, and some magic systems to tickle your fancy.
Go in with just a fun romp and you'll probably have one too.
