I appreciated the logistics of cloning and slow interstellar travel but I did not like the eventual plot reason for the story. I liked the ending, although it was very abrupt!

I didn't care too much about the Palacial subplot, but everything else was good stuff.
This is my favourite Reynolds book (Century Rain is a close second). The scope of the plot is massive, and the world intriguing. I'd love to see more stories played out in it. There are certainly enough hooks available for Reynolds to latch onto, despite wrapping up the plot of this book quite solidly. It's an enjoyable way to spend many hours.
Most fun I've had with a book in quite a while. Always knew I could really enjoy Reynolds, but somehow never quite managed to until this one.
Fantastic premise, vast creative sci-fi adventure with clever ideas and an intriguing universe. Except it falls completely flat.
