A slow intro that manages to span almost the entire hefty length of the first novel in the Otherland series.
At once interestingly prescient about the future of VR for a book published in 1996 and exhaustingly detailed when explaining technologies that are now common knowledge, especially among Sci-Fi readers.
It is somehow both not dated, yet has aged badly.
I found it a bit of a slog and when things finally started moving I slammed into a hard: To Be Continued wall.
