Okay. First of all this is not really what I'd classify as a mystery or thriller. So if you're looking for that, you'll be disappointed.
This is a story about Grief, but also the hidden wounds families have, and also about not communicating (hence the title).
I have read this book before, and it's not like I didn't like, but I had a hard time this time through, because I recognized what the father did throughout the book was abuse his son and neglect his second daughter (her mother also does this). Maybe it's because I recently realized (named, really) that I was being abused by my mother much the same way as a child, but in 2015 I hadn't figured out why I was so uncomfortable talking to my mother.
So be very careful if you were emotionally abused as a child, you may find this book triggering.
I think it's a solid book fwiw, I just, chose to reread it at a bad time (When I was already a tad depressed).
