Smarter faster better

I really liked this book at the end. Each chapter is something to learn by examples. At first I thought this book was just the same examples as always in Agile books. It turned out it went deeper in these examples and a good portion was examples that were new to me. The examples was more than just something to start with, it was the carrier of the bulk of the information. Charles made a great collection of examples to carry his point across.

I can't recommend this book enough! A great follow up to The Power of Habit.

First four chapters - motivation, teams, focus, goal setting were very good.

last four not as much.

managing others had nothing new - lean production and agile development.

absorbing data very little - you have to work with the data to understand it.

each chapter could be read individually

Interesting book. I could draw parallels to what Dan Pink says in Drive and the APM model (Autonomy, Purpose and Mastery). I am quite motivated to apply these techniques after reading this.

Much like in The Power Of Habit, Duhigg uses entertaining stories to illustrate the principles he's writing about. I didn't think the ideas in this book were as groundbreaking, though. A lot of them are things that have been around for awhile. Because of that, I found myself rushing through parts of this book, wishing Duhigg would get to the point.
