A very good thriller with a surprise ending. Great read . Many thanks to TBC for the great read
A half-size course covering the culture of the Ancient Greeks. Rather than a chronological course (like [b:The Long Shadow of the Ancient Greek World|12300414|The Long Shadow of the Ancient Greek World|Ian Worthington|https://s.gr-assets.com/assets/nophoto/book/50x75-a91bf249278a81aabab721ef782c4a74.png|17277500]), this series focuses each lecture on a cultural aspect, and jumped around the timeline sometimes up to present day to examine Greek influence on the modern world. Democracy, science, religion, war, art and literature, and their influence on Rome are some of the lecture topics. I'm very grateful to Garland for his lecture on the Iliad; he helped me to appreciate it much more than I did the first time I read it. That also applies to Greek tragedy, like Medea.

I enjoyed "Your Soul Was Made for Mine" by C.L. Hunter. This is the first book I've read by this author, having received a complementary copy to read in exchange for an honest review. I normally am not one for the erotic books, but do read them once in awhile, and found this to be a good one. I would read more books by the author for sure. I voluntarily reviewed it from Reading Deals
This is one of those Sci-fi stories that follows someone's life. These can go two ways, one where the character becomes an implausible superhero, fingers in every pie, with the perfect scheme, and another where the story meanders so much that you loose all will to live and wish the author would get to the point.
This book balances the two sides well. It's not an action story, but there is lots of action, it's not a slice of life story, but it follows Mariska's coming of age.
I felt connected to our protagonist, and she's very human, living and growing. It does get a tiny bit slow about half way through, but then it picks up again. My only complaint I suppose is that she maybe is a little too mature for a 20-something year old.
I think you should read this book. It's good.
I couldn't really muster up any sympathy for Shane/Jo and Noel was just kind of boring. The two MC's of this story were almost impossible for me to engage with, especially since I found two of the secondary characters much more sympathetic and interesting. I would rather have read their stories. From what I understand one of them will be getting their own book but I'm not sure whether he will have a voice in the narrative or not. Unfortunately the other character that I liked and wanted to read more about was rather abruptly killed off near the end of the book. I found Jason a more likeable character and honestly wouldn't have minded if Shane/Jo had to die to save Jason.
This series started and finished for me here. Disappointing since I enjoyed the Cost of Repairs series for the most part.
