A Good Overview of the State of End Time Physics

4 stars

You've probably heard one or two scientific theories about the end of the universe. Maybe you've heard about the Big Crunch or the Big Rip. Maybe you Haven't. In any case, Katie walks you through multiple possibilities and makes it very clear that the ultimate fate of the universe is still up for debate.

Easy to read and informative, but outside of the last couple chapters it’s mostly stuff anyone who’s been paying attention or read another astrophysics book will already know. Honestly I think I’m more likely to recommend reading the Three Body Trilogy by Cixin Liu if someone is curious about the theories discussed. When so much is left unknown, you might as well be reading fiction.

Wow, what a book! Incredibly dense with information and incredible how much a dense person like myself could take out of this book. Introduces you to a great many aspects of modern physics and offers more than what I expected to learn. Looking forward to more books by Katie Mack!
