Buenobuenobueno I ate this up with a velocity!!!! The story and musings of a 30 year-old poet/lawyer & trans woman in London, her relationship to work, friends and acquaintances, men, family, etc. Nicola Dinan has the ability of making me deeply ponder at one sentence and snicker at the next one - and I'll say it over and over again this is the queer way of looking at the world and dealing and coping!! And I find that beautiful. Small deet is that she weaves in such delicate and lush descriptions of cooking and dishes throughout the book - that was some NYT Cooking shit. Need I say i loved it?
There's also a storyline there about a boy and his past and that's nice but it was defo the musings for me! All in all this book is as witty as it is deep and it touches upon so …
