I honestly didn't remember much about it from my first read of it so many years ago, but I think this is my favourite of the series.

This book made me cry as a teenager and then be shocked. I didn't finish it on purpose then. See, there was a lot of action on the final pages, but I could feel with my fingers how little of the book has left. So I kind of understood what is about to happen. And didn't even read till the epic plot twist or tie or whatever at the very end.
Needless to say, I may be crying again now, after completing it.
Reading Adams's novels is a bit of a journey.
Now on to finish the Salmon of Doubt, which I could finish in the past because did haven't have reread the Guide books in order to have enjoyed the Guide vignettes in the Salmon with fresh memories!
I can't really choose what's my favorite Douglas Adams novels, they are all so different and so interesting in each other. I loved getting to know the Sandwich Maker and Ford's interest in saving the Universe. I highly recommend anyone to read this books.
