Review of 'Heartstopper' on 'Storygraph'

Nick is so fictional...
It’s so sad/difficult to read sometimes because you know there’s never gonna be someone like him in real life.

Charlie is also getting pretty selfish. I do understand it, I’ve struggled with mental health issues during my early teenage years too, but still. Nick is doing so much for him, and, well, even though everyone has a different love language, it’s just unfair. Nick is so precious (and so fictional) and doesn’t deserve to be treated so poor.

Nick’s brother is an absolute a**hole and I’m glad tori showed him. Tori is a queen, I love her so much, and she’s also so me.

I’m also kind of hoping tori is aroace, but at the same time not, to proof that a friendship between a girl and a boy is perfectly normal and realistic and doesn’t have to end up in a romantic way.

Review of 'Heartstopper' on 'Goodreads'

I. LOVE. THIS. GRAPHIC. NOVEL.

The pacing, drama, conversations are all perfect. The moments that are quiet, wordless, and let the emotion of the story resonate are so powerful. I love Nick and Charlie and can't wait for volume 2!

Props to the rugby coach for their insight on speculating another person's sexuality AND for a story that doesn't have the bisexual character be a villain because they're bisexual, and instead, because they're actually just a major jerk.
