Tan absurda y descacharrante como la primera vez.
Been a while since I read this whopper of a collection, but from what I recall while the writing was snappy and the absurdities very inventive and creative, the stories themselves were more like collectives of vignettes and funny anecdotes than a deep, evolving plot intended to challenge the cast. By the time it was wrapped up, everything and everyone was worn out and tired, as was I. Probably sticking to the first 1-3 of this series is the sweet spot where everything is new, interesting, and you realize the cast might have a chance to evolve. Afterwards, it goes downhill.
Puzzling, witty, and hilarious, Adams twists the reader's brain with delight. Read when you have plenty of extra time on your hands.
A well written book in a completely hilarious alien language thats easy to understand. Totally bonkers, but in a wonderful way >D
A really enjoyable read. I always thought this book was the Hitchhikers Guide, but in fact that book features in the story. I loved the concept of The Restaurant at the End of The Universe....
I now get the jokes and understand the references, but to get there I had to go through a long journey. Hitchicker's Guide to the Galaxy was an enjoyable book but I found most of the stories to be incoherent, written by a imaginative author with extreme ADHD and hey, why is my hair on fire? The beauty of the books may be that you do go all over the Galaxy, but it made it challenging to follow along as you go from one time travelling couch to a floating party boat to another dimension and never really knowing what was going on.
There were many times I was reading and wasn't sure if I was actually reading because I didn't comprehend what was going on. If this happened I would back up, retrace my steps and still have no idea what was happening. I was a bit like …

There were many times I was reading and wasn't sure if I was actually reading because I didn't comprehend what was going on. If this happened I would back up, retrace my steps and still have no idea what was happening. I was a bit like Arthur in that I just got used to not understanding and was going along for the ride.
I am glad to mark this one off my list but I don't think I will be grabbing my trusty towel, book written with the words "Don't Panic" and experience this adventure again.
