This book introduces us to Rincewind the Wizard, a bumbling, inept wizard who stumbles his way through being a forced tourguide for Twoflower, a naive, trusting visitor from a foreign land.
The main plot takes a back seat to the comedy, and it is quite funny. Still it becomes a bit too random for my tastes through the middle. Some of the humour comes from the silly nature of the plot, but I often found myself confused and/or rolling my eyes.
The Color of Magic was the second Discworld book I ever read, and I love it just as much as the first time I read it. While the series has certainly evolved since then, it has a special flavor that makes it classic and hilarious.
