Як каже нам книга «Вичерпних та ґрунтовних пророцтв Агнеси Оглашенної» (а цій книзі треба вірити, бо це єдина у світі книга пророцтв, що справджуються), кінець світу прийде в суботу. Якщо точніше, то оцієї суботи, що на наступному тижні. Якраз перед вечерею. Добро та Зло збирають армії, жаби проливаються дощем, Атлантида піднімається з морських глибин… Усе було б згідно із задумом Божим, якби не двійко незвичайних союзників: вибагливий янгол-букініст та стильний демон-авантюрист. Обидва живуть серед смертних від Самого Початку, і таке життя їм вельми до вподоби — тож вони не горять бажанням попрощатися із таким звичним світом. А ще, здається, хтось загубив Антихриста...
Great cast. The dramatization and what exactly was happening got a bit blurry around the edges at certain parts, but overall, a decent bit of audio.
Zachęcony serialem w serwisie Amazon Prime postanowiłem, że w pierwszej kolejności przeczytam książkę, aby później porównać ją z ekranizacją. Z wielkim entuzjazmem podszedłem do lektury i niestety ... zawiodłem się na całej linii
4.5 Really hard to choose betwen that and 4.25. On the one hand it's a great book, but on the other hand some of the scenes really haven't aged well (especially War in southern countries) and the pacing is quite sub-optimal in the first half. Also what's up with all the weird anti-Welsh prejudice? Still a great book and I really like the authors' stressing of human agency. Oh and definitely more fun in the original than in the rather lackluster German translation. They even changed Newton's name.

супер! просто супер: пратчетів гумор, гейманів сюжет і бомбезна постановка з англійськими акторами — смакота, і хочеться більше! p.s. рекомендую спершу прочитати саму книжку — зайде легше.
There were a couple of patches towards the end where it got a bit... preachy... which was odd from two such brilliant and subtle authors. Otherwise as brilliant as one would expect of Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman.
The humor reminded my a little of "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy". I enjoyed the story and the crazy characters.

Yes, this is the third book edition of this book I own. Yes, I need all three of them.
I think I've oozed enough about the actual story somewhere else, so I'll spare you that.
But this edition is absolutely gorgeous and an must-have for fans of the book. The artwork is beautiful, and if I had enough un-tattooed skin on my back, I'd possibly have the lot as a back piece.

I wasn't as taken with this. It was a little too light for me. I laughed out loud during several scenes but I never felt any of emotional weight I've encountered with Prachett or Gaiman separately.

Great fun
A partir de cosas que he ido viendo de la serie me había dado cuenta de que tenía cosas que me iban a gustar. Mucho. Así que aproveché que tenía la opción para comprármelo, empecé a leer con curiosidad... Y descubrí que, efectivamente, es el tipo de obra que me gusta, que me encanta. El humor, las referencias, el tipo de narrador, lo creíble que resulta el universo, mezclar temas divinos con cosas como una máquina de Trivial... Y debo decir también que la traducción en la edición española es excelente, incluso en los textos que simulan castellano antiguo.
Se ha convertido rápidamente en un favorito.

Demons, angels, fight and flight, and the famous four of the Apocalypse are just a few things you'll encounter in this book. For Gaiman and Pratchett fans an absolute must!
